Travel diaries - Puerto de Mogán

Puerto de Mogán

When I heard there was a ‘mini Venice’ a short taxi ride from our hotel in Taurito, Gran Canaria, I decided we HAD to go! Travel has always inspired my designs and this little gem easily filled my camera roll! Puerto de Mogán has a dreamy lanes made up of whitewashed buildings, complete with colourful framed doors framed by cascading bougainvillea and hibiscus.

A cute bar to grab a drink || El Patio

Sit and enjoy a Cava Sangria at El Patio while looking straight out on to the harbour . . . perfection!

Where to eat || La Perla Mogán

We dined at restaurant & cocktail bar La Perla Mogán which is situated right at the furthest point of the harbour. Allow a good 15 minutes or so walk to reach it if you are dropped off near the beach via taxi. The panoramic views and delicious fresh lobster make this a dining experience to remember. The ocean wraps around the building to make you feel like you are on a boat as you sit and sip on cocktails while yachts pass by.

An activity for the kids . . . and the grown ups! || Submarine Adventure

Board a submarine and go ship wreck hunting! We did this activity because Arthur loves learning about ship wrecks but it was actually amazing ha ha!
